UPC Switzerland and Austria brand relaunch

In December 2015 upc cablecom announced the rebranding of its Swiss/Austrian regional organisation ahead of its completion at the end of May 2016: The new UPC brand presented its new-look logo – the multi-coloured blossom.


As a branding agency, evoq provided the subsidiary of Liberty Global, a London-based global corporation, with considerable support in the country-specific launch of the new UPC brand. It assumed the role of consultant in all strategy aspects of the new corporate design and developed the CD manual with all design elements. It was also responsible for the logo overhaul and brand stage development.

Another key focus was the development of various different media for numerous communicative measures, but specifically for internal communications: A 68-page brand book in four languages for staff in Switzerland and Austria, posters as well as a 1400-piece brand puzzle featuring the new multi-colour blossom. The latter was put together by staff at the UPC Switzerland headquarters, involving them with the new brand look right from the outset.

The multi-coloured blossom is the centrepiece of the new brand and symbolises the wide product portfolio and UPC’s diverse entertainment service range. evoq’s work palpably brought the corporate values to life, laying the foundations for a successful brand identity in the process.
