First self-build with an independent reception concept
Zebrabox Winterthur is the tenth location of the market-leading self-storage chain in Switzerland. Located directly on the motorway between Zurich and St.Gallen, the building is also the first self-built facility of the storage provider with a comprehensive range of services. evoq is designing the reception and shop area for the Zebrabox location.
Innovation Info Box
A completely new reception and shop concept was to be developed for the location. For this purpose, evoq invented the info box in zebra design as an eye-catcher in the reception area. The box offers potential customers the possibility to inform themselves about the storage space offer in an uncomplicated way via touchscreen. At the same time, the customer can rent a Zebrabox directly. In the spirit of self-storage, this works without the presence of staff on site. Access to the reception and the storage rooms is controlled centrally by mobile phone and codes.
Modularity as a principle
Downstream from the reception area is a shop that provides all conceivable packaging material, clearly sorted. For this purpose, evoq designed a modular furniture system that presents the different box formats attractively and at the same time makes them available for pick-up. Consumables such as adhesive tapes, padding material or packing gloves are also available. The furniture concept can be adapted to any floor plan and is intended to become the standard for future shops that can be as diverse as Zebrabox's customers.
