"Breaking Barriers" is the motto of Sonova and Phonak on the occasion of the 70th anniversary celebrations and the Open Day. Visitors and potential employees are addressed with the anniversary appearance and campaign.

Breaking Barriers

evoq is developing a cross-media communication campaign for the 70th anniversary of Sonova, a Swiss company specialising in hearing systems, and its Phonak brand. The motto is "Breaking barriers", positioning Sonova as an innovative employer and letting its employees have their say via the hashtag #wearesonova.

On a global level, the employees publicise via social media how they contribute to realising Sonova's vision with their commitment and innovative spirit. On the anniversary microsite, Sonova shows corresponding short films of the employees, which evoq designed as part of the campaign to attract new employees.

The campaign for Phonak addresses business partners and end customers. Phonak thanks them for their trust and loyalty over the years. With the evoq tool "Card Creator", Phonak invites its web visitors to say "thank you" to a special person with a self-designed digital card. This tool appears on the anniversary microsite of "Phonak", which was also designed and implemented by evoq.

To meet the challenge of this campaign, the different needs in the communication of Sonova as an umbrella brand, and Phonak and as a product brand, evoq designs two different key visuals for the anniversary appearance. These are used in all online and offline media.
